VETS THUNDER NATIONAL POKER RUN 9/10/2011
Veterans Transitional Center a {501 C 3}, would like to ask you to help give our nation's veterans and their families a hands up On September 10, 2011. We are asking both motorcycle clubs and businesses to join together for the first National Vets Thunder poker run to raise funds for a Veterans Transitional Center - You may ask why we want you to join us with this commitment : Following World War II, Korea, and Vietnam many returning veterans seemed to fall between the cracks. Many became disgruntled over no work or help with VA benefits. Some of these disheartened veterans banded together creating various 1% clubs, some joined gangs and still others became homeless; all of them living on the fringe of life in the country they fought for. Who pays the price - We do - in loss of revenue, skills of individuals, and a weaker nation. Today we are seeing a tsunami of returning veterans, many of who are suffering from the same issues that followed World War II, Korea, and Vietnam veterans. We need to take a proactive stand for these ladies and gentlemen who served our nation with honor. We need to help them for ourselves and the nation they fought to protect. Now is the time to take action to get on the cutting edge to help those veterans in need. Failure to do so, is a failure to them, are a nation, and the future. Veterans Transitional Centers Goal: To build a Veterans Transitional Center {501 C 3} in every state – which will provide a safe and secure environment where veterans and their families can receive the care and treatment they need.
