FAQ: It is my hope this may answer some of your questions with regards to the Vets Thunder Poker run The purpose of the Vets Thunder Poker Run is to raise funds yearly in order to build a Veterans Transitional Center in each and every state. Why & what makes the Veterans Transitional Center any different? At present, Veterans Transitional Center will be the only shelters with the goal to help both single veterans and veterans with families We look at a veteran and their needs based on a total picture if they are single, a single family, or a family we will not separate a vet from their family So to better assist the veteran one has to consider and help the family as a whole to do less would fall short of the mark - could cause more problems later in life for them and their family The Veterans Transitional Center goal to look at the whole family and will be addressing what has never been done or considered before We are looking at the impact of effects of war from psychological, and physiological issues that can transfer to a spouse and children. We are not funded by tax dollars nor do we depend on Washington or a state to pay to create these centers we believe it takes real people, like you, who have a heart and compassion to help by giving. Real people who can offer a hands up to those who served and sacrificed for our nation We hope that you will join us so that these heroes can once again have a normal life again. NUTS AND BOLTS: Who will setup and run the Vets Thunder Poker Runs Each chapter and club will run setup and operate their own. We will not tell any club or chapter the hows of a poker run it is up to you and your chapter/club to decide this and who better I do ask he club to register, because there have been several request by individuals to join with a club for these events. If you have a question - Ask, and I answer you directly then add it So the question you have may answer someone elses question What do I get: All Motor Cycle Clubs will be listed on the Vets4veterans Vets Thunder web page that they are they in riding to raise funds and a listing of the funds that they raised and a certificate of appreciation -invitation to the grand opening with recognition We are hoping to have a run off of the highest winners in each state with a grand prize of a new motor cycle. All supporters with donations of $500 or above will have their names or business listed on their states page along with the motor cycle clubs a certificate of appreciation and their names - will be listed on a donor wall at the Veterans Transitional Centers building site All Sponsors with donations over $10,000 will have their names listed on all correspondence, and recognized in news media Their name listed on the donor wall in the veterans transitional center of the state they are sponsoring, a certificate of appreciation, logo will be posted on the states webpage, Sponsors with donations of a million dollars and above will be list on every state page all donor walls logo on all correspondences and recognized in the news media a certificate of appreciation invitation to the grand opening with recognition Questions: Scott Haugh - Email
